Acronis Expands to the Middle East

Originally founded in 2003, Acronis currently supports its worldwide base of customers through their software solutions meant for data backup, disaster recovery, file sharing and more. A privately owned company with several hundred employees of their own, Acronis caters primarily to small and medium-sized companies who require outside assistance with their IT services.

With a total of 18 offices located around the globe, it’s safe to say that the team with Acronis covers nearly all geographical regions. The Middle East, however, has been missing out on Acronis’ services thus far. Thankfully for those in the area, Acronis has recently expanded their operations to the Middle East with two brand new backup solutions.

John Zanni, senior vice president with Acronis, spoke about the kind of services his company is introducing into the region. He was quoted as saying: “Opportunities currently abound for service providers providing cloud offers, including backup, secure file access, sync and sharing and disaster recovery solutions. Acronis Backup Cloud gives them the ability to offer easy, complete and sage advanced data protection solution to their customers with a managed and monitored high-margin service that delivers security and scalability.” Zanni went on to speak specifically about the newly unveiled Acronis Backup Service by saying: “Acronis Backup Service is an ideal fit for Acronis distributors and resellers as it allows them to offer cloud backup and recovery services for all leading infrastructure platforms with no upfront costs and without changing the way they sell and do business.”

As its name suggests, the Acronis Backup Cloud will give managed service providers the opportunity to sell and manage services in data protection and archival. Those in the Middle East will now be able to enjoy the same level of service that is already being enjoyed by users in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Russia and more. Specifically, the Acronis Backup Cloud provides options in local and hybrid storage, local and cloud-based data recovery and local recovery from the systems of individual users.

The Acronis Backup Service exists as a standalone service that offers data recovery and restoration services to any system or physical location in the region. In addition, those who use Acronis Backup Service will benefit from the ability to backup data from any source. Finally, the Acronis Backup Servicec lets users view, manage and restore data from a single, web-based console.

In an effort to attract more partnerships around the globe, Acronis has also unveiled their newly redesigned Acronis Partner Program. A progression-based program that features multiple tiers and levels of participation, the Acronis Partner Program rewards its partners for outstanding sales, industry certification and creative marketing efforts. The program is being rolled out across the Middle East, North America, Europe, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.

Chris Hilderbrand, vice president of global channel sales with Acronis, explained how the revamped Acronis Partner Program is able to provide better accommodations their current partners. He was quoted as saying: “We’ve rebuilt our program from the ground up based on partner feedback. Our partners want to be rewarded on a shared commitment to generate demand, close sales and plan for future growth. And this is just the beginning.”
