Acronis, known around the globe for efforts in data backup, archival and protection, has recently announced the availability of two new cloud-centric backup solutions specifically meant for Middle Eastern markets. Dedicated to establishing and maintaining an international presence, the announcement is only the latest move in a series of initiatives undertaken by Acronis as of late.
Acronis Backup Cloud
The first of two new solutions, Acronis Backup Cloud provides a multi-tier, multi-tenant approach to both local and hybrid cloud storage. Along with heightened security, including SSL and AES 256 encryption, Acronis Cloud Backup is safe, reliable and effective.
John Zanni, senior vice president of cloud solutions with Acronis, spoke about the benefits offered by Acronis Backup Cloud. He was quoted as saying: “Opportunities currently abound for service providers providing cloud offers, including backup, secure file access, sync and sharing and disaster recovery solutions. Acronis Backup Cloud gives them the ability to offer easy, complete and safe advanced data protection solution to their customers with a managed and monitored high-margin service that delivers security and scalability.”
Acronis’ own website cites no less than four direct benefits of Acronis Backup Cloud. Quick deployment, ease-of-use, proven reliability from an experienced vendor and the ability to integrate into your existing infrastructure are the main selling points of the software. Additionally, Acronis Backup Cloud is able to support service providers in a number of critical areas, including sales and marketing collateral availability, joint marketing planning as well as industry training and certification.
Acronis Backup Service
The second solution comes in the way of Acronis Backup Service, an ongoing subscription that gives users the ability to backup and restore data between nearly any systems. Touting bare metal recovery on an unprecedented scale, Acronis Backup Service is already making news around the globe. The service is compatible with physical, cloud, virtual and mobile operating environments, all of which can be accessed through a centralized, convenient web portal.
Zanni continued by saying: “Acronis Backup Service is specifically designed to support end user cloud backup needs, as well as our partners without data centres that want to reinforce their backup portfolio. Acronis Backup Service is an ideal fit for Acronis distributors and resellers as it allows them to offer cloud backup and recovery services for all leading infrastructure platforms with no upfront costs and without changing the way they sell and do business.”
Expanding Their Presence
Apart from their newly introduced IT solutions, Acronis has been working diligently to expand their presence on a global scale. Since the company began offering cloud services in 2010, they’ve opened up dedicated datacenters in the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, and Japan – in addition to their previous locations in the United States, Russia, France and Singapore.
