Microsoft Offers Free Cloud Training to Benefit IT Workers

With cloud computing quickly gaining dominance amongst the consumer public, it only makes sense that some of the bright and you up-and-comers of the industry begin working toward a legitimate education focused on cloud computing and related technologies. In fact, this is exactly what Microsoft hopes to achieve by giving away free subscriptions to the IT Pro Cloud Essentials program.

Javier Nino, senior product manager with Microsoft, promoted the cloud in a recent statement by saying: "The cloud opens up new opportunities for you to support the needs of your organization. As an IT professional, people look to you to be the first to know about new technologies and you are vital to their technology adoption. But keeping up with the speed of innovation in the cloud can be painful if trials expire before you can do meaningful assessments or if information and support is hard to find.”

Microsoft's IT Pro Cloud Essentials Program in a Nutshell

The aim of Microsoft's IT Pro Cloud Essentials program is to provide a comprehensive education in the field of cloud computing. Moreover, they want to ensure that this education is available to all students who wish to pursue the path as a career. In order to do so, Microsoft is giving away annual subscriptions of their service to various professionals in the IT industry.

Per the giveaway, IT professionals will receive a three-month subscription to the online training site Pluralsight, $100 in Azure credits on a monthly basis for a total of three months, priority queuing in the Microsoft TechNet online forums, complete telephone-based support regarding Azure and other Microsoft products and extended trial versions of both Office 365 and Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite.

Finally, participants will also receive one free certification exam voucher. It's important to note that these vouchers are extremely limited. As a result, they are only available while supplies last.

Generating an Increasing Amount of Interest

The recent move by Microsoft is already generating a lot of buzz and interest around the industry. They've been devoting more and more resources to the creation, development and maintenance of their own cloud infrastructure, and this is only the latest strategy in a long line of plans to bolster cloud accessibility and availability around the globe.

As more IT professionals sign up for IT Pro Cloud Essentials, either for their free trial or for a full-fledged subscription, consumer interest in Microsoft IT Pro Cloud Essentials, as well as the cloud in general, is expected to increase even further.
