NovaStor Introduces New Features to NovaBACKUP Software

Known for providing data backup services for Windows systems, SQL / Exchange servers and virtual machines, NovaStor is constantly pushing the limits of their software and technology. In an effort to bolster their service, the team with NovaStor recently released NovaBACKUP xSP v17, which includes a host of new features that meant to support the day-to-day operations of managed service providers (MSPs).

A cloud-centric solution, NovaBACKUP xSP has already revolutionized how we manage on-premise and cloud-based storage in the 21st century. Complete with military-grade encryption as well as a single user interface, known as the Central Management Console, NovaBACKUP xSP streamlines the entire process of archiving large amounts of data. Moreover, thanks to optimized bandwidth allocation, users are able to access cloud-based data quickly, securely and efficiently.

Real-time reporting functionality is integrated directly into NovaBACKUP xSP v17, which is capable of providing a comprehensive snapshot of both successful and failed backup attempts. The integrated system log viewer has also been given an upgrade. As such, data analysts are able to better collate and disseminate information for use in regular reports, corporate briefings and customer consultations.

Mike Andrews, managing director with NovaStor, explain the purpose behind his company as well as their latest software release. He was quoted as saying: “NovaStor provides data protection solutions for both sides of the cloud. A secure, stable, and scalable backup software is key to offering managed backup as a service. With our new release of NovaBACKUP xSP, we are continuing to support our partners with a reliable backup software and expert advice for their business model.”

NovaBACKUP xSP v17 also introduces a new data verification protocol for all files uploaded to the cloud. Not only does this ensure file integrity, but it provides a vast improvement to the reliability of cloud-based data.

Other new features seen in NovaBACKUP xSP v17 include the ability to choose pre-configured NAS hardware to aide in disaster planning and recovery, enhanced support for virtual machine backups and a simple, user-friendly SMTP configuration. These upgrades not only enhance the overall functionality of NovaBackup xSP, but they also play a key role in fulfilling NovaStor’s commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

As a NovaStor partner for more than a decade now, the team with FirstBackup is intimately familiar with NovaStor’s service offerings. Brent Bierstedt, president of FirstBackup, was recently quoted as saying: “I’m proud to be part of the NovaStor community. And the new release is another great improvement. It is always amazing to see how detailed NovaStor’s upgrades are without losing the focus on the requirements of their customers and partners.”

NovaStor was originally founded in 1987.
